Knitting woes

Can someone please tell me why it took me 15 rows of the Wavy scarf pattern to realize that I was doing the even rows backwards??? Fifteen rows frogged. Argh!

The good news is that I'm doing them right this time.

What were you doing? Were you knitting where you should have been purling and vice versa? You won't make ribs if you do that.

But then I guess you figured that out...

I personally think it's good luck if you frog something once before getting going on it good.

I was confused with the wording of the pattern. I was knitting stitches that had been knitted on the other side rather than knitting stitches that had been purled on the other side and therefore looked like knitted stitches on the wrong side.

See...if I don't stop now, my head will explode.

But no worries - I've got it together now and my waves are waving as they should. :-D
